Denise Chase is a 1994 graduate of The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She opened Pleasant Ridge Pet Hospital in August of 2000, and has been happily practicing here ever since. She lives in Mt. Washington with her husband, 2 children, 2 dogs, 1 cat, and a Quaker parrot.

Jennifer Jaax, a 2004 graduate of Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, joined the practice full-time in 2005.  Dr. Jaax is proficient in sign language, allowing for more comprehensive services for the hearing impaired.  She comes from a family of veterinarians, including her father, sister, aunt and uncle.  She relocated to Cincinnati from Kansas to be closer to family, and lives in Covington with her dog and 4 cats. 

Surgery schedule:

We perform routinely scheduled surgeries and dental procedures Monday through Friday. We ask that pets be checked in for surgery between 8:00-8:30 am on the day of surgery. Most pets will be ready to go home between 5-6pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and between 6-8pm on Tuesday and Thursday. To schedule a surgery appointment, just call our office during regular business hours. If your pet has a surgery appointment, please do not give any food or water after midnight the night before the appointment. We request that older pets (>7 years of age) have pre-anesthetic blood work done before sedation; if your pet needs this, please schedule an appointment prior to the day of surgery.
